Bloorview Kids Rehab is Canada’s largest children’s rehabilitation hospital.

CANADIAN ASSOCIATION FOR COMMUNITY LIVING
The Canadian Association for Community Living is a Canada-wide association
of family members and others working for the benefit of persons of all ages who
have an intellectual disability.

COMMUNITY LIVING ONTARIO
Many have a son, daughter, brother or sister who is identified as having
an intellectual disability. People who themselves have been labelled are
members. Church, business and other community leaders also belong.
They all belong to Community Living Ontario for one reason --
They support the full inclusion of people who are identified as
having an intellectual disability in all aspects of community living.

Community Living Toronto strives to support people with intellectual disabilities at different stages of their lives. We believe that everyone should be a part of the community, no matter how unique or special their needs. FAMILY ALLIANCE ONTARIO
Family Alliance Ontario is an alliance of citizens that offers knowledge,
tools and networking opportunities to individuals with disabilities and
their families to assist them to realize a vision that includes having valued
relationships, choice and control in their lives, and enables inclusion
through meaningful contribution and participation in their communities.

INDIVIDUALIZED FUNDING COALITION FOR ONTARIO
The Individualized Funding Coalition for Ontario supports the self-determination
of persons with disabilities. They believe that all people should have control over
decisions concerning where they live, with whom they live, with whom they associate,
and how they spend their lives.

L'ARCHE CANADA
In L'Arche, people who have developmental disabilities and those who come
to assist share life and daytime activities together in family-like settings that
are integrated into local neighbourhoods.
L'Arche in Canada has nearly 200 homes and workshops or day programs.
These are grouped into what L'Arche calls ''communities.''

L'ARCHE DAYBREAK
L’Arche Daybreak in Richmond Hill, Ontario welcomes men and women with intellectual disabilities and the assistants who live, work and learn with them. People are drawn to this community from all over the world seeking a different way of life and bringing with them a wide range of beliefs, backgrounds and qualifications.

PHILIA - A Dialogue on Caring Citizenship
The Philia Dialogue is a global conversation on citizenship. More specifically,
it's a conversation on caring citizenship - a notion of citizenship based on
contribution, participation, relationship, and a commitment to the common good.

THE BELONGING INITIATIVE
They are a group of collaborators looking for ways by which we can foster a sense of belonging and thereby end the isolation and loneliness of people with disabilities.
They are currently collecting stories of belonging being nurtured.
Send them a story about the end of someone's isolation and loneliness and how it happened.
